Purpose of the Prayer Ministry

The Prayer Ministry of Sharon Baptist Church exists to glorify God by providing every member an opportunity to pray for specific needs and the lost around us. This ministry seeks to fulfill Jesus' statement: "... My Father's House shall be called a house of prayer."


Strategies for the Prayer Ministry

  1. Intercessory Prayer Team

    This team meets at 5:30 on Wednesday afternoon to pray over specific needs that come in on-line or through the designated prayer line. This team is also commissioned by Grace Broadcasting to pray over all needs that come in from around the country.

    Training is involved to be a part of this team.

  2. L.A.S.E.R. Prayer Team

    This team meets each Sunday morning at 8:15 to pray specifically for that day's services and Bible Study classes.  There is no special training needed, and no one is asked to pray out loud.

  3. Prayer Events

    The Prayer Ministry hosts several special events throughout the year including  "Watchmen on the Wall" 24 Hour Prayer Watches; Prayer Walks; and Occasional Solemn Assemblies.
